Responsibilities:
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and Agile ceremonies.
- Review and analyze product requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.
- Document functional and non-functional test cases and scenarios in the test management system.
- Execute verification and regression test cases, recording results accurately.
- Analyze and report test results with clarity; report and track bugs.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Identify test cases for automation and oversee QA processes.
- Evaluate task dependencies, estimating time and effort for QA tasks.
- Escalate risks or issues that could impact project progress.
- Gather status data to illustrate test planning and execution progress.
- Prepare reports with recommendations for improvements.
- Review and analyze automated test results, following up on issues.
- Act as the go-to person for applications under test and assist with training new hires and junior team members.
- Continuously seek to improve QA methodologies and share best practices with the team.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency with test case management tools (e.g., Testrail, Zephyr) and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Skills in developing and executing both manual and automated test suites.
- Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
- Knowledge of API testing frameworks (e.g., JMeter, Postman, REST Assured).
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- A demonstrated will to continuously learn and improve.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience in mentoring junior team members is a plus.
