Position Overview
We are looking for a meticulous QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our digital health platform. In this role, you will be responsible for testing the platform's mobile and web applications, finding and resolving issues, and collaborating with developers and designers to deliver a seamless user experience. You'll work closely with product and development teams to establish best practices for QA and maintain high standards in all of Kilow's releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile and web applications, covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Automated Testing: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and ensure consistent testing across releases.
- Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing on new features, bug fixes, and existing functionality to verify quality and identify potential issues.
- Bug Tracking and Reporting: Document issues clearly, providing detailed steps for reproducing bugs and working closely with developers to resolve them.
- Performance and Load Testing: Ensure the platform is optimized by conducting performance tests, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating on performance improvements.
- Develop and Maintain QA Documentation: Document test cases, test results, and QA best practices, and maintain a knowledge base for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure alignment and thorough testing of user requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ Years of Experience in software quality assurance, preferably with experience in testing mobile and web applications.
- Experience with Automated Testing Tools: Proficiency in tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks for automating test cases.
- Strong Knowledge of QA Methodologies: Familiarity with QA best practices, including test planning, test case creation, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Proficiency with Bug Tracking Tools: Experience using tools like JIRA for bug tracking and project management.
- Basic Understanding of Programming: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to write automated test scripts is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to identifying issues and inconsistencies.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to document issues clearly and work collaboratively with team members to ensure high-quality product releases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Healthcare Compliance Standards: Understanding of health data security and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
- Mobile Testing Experience: Specific experience in testing mobile applications, including cross-platform testing on iOS and Android devices.
- Experience with Load Testing Tools: Knowledge of tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for conducting performance and load testing.
