osition: Civil Inspector
- Location: NEOM Project, Saudi Arabia
Reports To:
Project Quality Supervisor
The Civil Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all civil works related to the NEOM project are executed in compliance with the approved plans, specifications, standards, and industry best practices. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of construction practices and regulatory requirements. The Civil Inspector will collaborate closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of the project phases.
Site Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of civil works, including but not limited to, excavation, foundation, concrete works, road construction, drainage systems, and structural elements.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all construction activities are performed according to approved plans, specifications, and standards. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of inspections, including daily reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the work completed on-site.Coordination:
Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections. Provide recommendations for corrective actions and verify their implementation.Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of materials used and workmanship to ensure they meet the required standards. Conduct tests and assessments as necessary to validate compliance.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to the project's safety guidelines and that all workers on-site are following safety protocols.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports to the Senior Civil Engineer or Project Manager. Highlight any potential risks, delays, or quality issues that may impact the project timeline or outcome.Technical Support:
Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team to ensure that work is performed efficiently and to a high standard.Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to inspection processes and quality control measures. Stay updated with the latest industry standards and practices.
Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil inspection in Precast experience & Infrastructure experience required, preferably with large-scale infrastructure or construction projects. Experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly advantageous.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in civil inspection, quality control, or safety are preferred (e.g., ISO certification, OSHA).Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Knowledge of civil engineering standards and practices.Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
