Job Description

The QA Technician performs internal audits to ensure compliance with Company Quality Management system. Ensures audit findings are correct and gives recommendations for corrective and/or preventive action(s) are appropriate. Carries out all duties in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensure internal audits are conducted of actual practices against published policies, standards, procedures, regulatory guidance, contract and processes.
  • Ensure audit findings are correct and that recommendations for corrective and/or preventive action(s) are appropriate and conform to Amentum quality standards.
  • Ensure corrective action and preventive action submitted by site meet QMS requirements.
  • Prepare trend analysis reports of various quality indicators as required by Company Quality Management System.
  • Maintains site Quality Board to ensure data is updated and correct.
  • Ensure cross-tell is being conducted between shops and sites for non-conformances.
  • Monitors workshop practices and housekeeping to identify discrepancies and negative trends that affect technical performance.
  • Coordinates with other departments and PSO for standardization of processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
  • Should be capable of producing Analysis Reports and Spreadsheets.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA/AFOSH Standards and Industrial safety practices.
  • Must successfully pass Internal Auditor course.
  • Ability to interpret and implement procedures for compliance with ISO 9000 Standards and contract PWS is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of Training and Instructional Techniques is desirable.
  • Conversant with USAF Technical Order and publications system is desired.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control is required.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
