Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vulnerability Management Services Specialist with over 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing vulnerability management services using Tenable Vulnerability Management Tool. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the security posture of our organization's infrastructure through effective vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration and Management: Configure and manage regular vulnerability scans using the Tenable Vulnerability Management Tool across the organization's infrastructure. Customize scan policies to align with the organization's risk profile and compliance requirements.
- Vulnerability Analysis: Analyze scan results to prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, and potential impact on the organization's assets and operations.
- Alert Configuration: Configure alerts and notifications for critical vulnerabilities, compliance deviations, and suspicious activities detected by the vulnerability management tool.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance and availability of the vulnerability management tool to ensure effective operation. Perform software updates, patches, and upgrades to keep the tool current and secure.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for issues related to the Tenable vulnerability management tool, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or challenges encountered.
- Optimization and Automation: Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to optimize the tool's performance and address evolving security requirements. Implement automation capabilities for vulnerability remediation and patch management, leveraging existing infrastructure such as Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in vulnerability management services, with a focus on configuring and managing vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable.
- In-depth understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies, common vulnerabilities, and exposure to industry-standard frameworks such as CVSS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on risk assessment.
- Experience in configuring alerts, notifications, and reports within vulnerability management tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor (TCNA) would be a plus.
