Quality Control Engineer

Job Purpose

Ensuring that Project quality Plan and procedures are activated at site. Performing inspections of installations when advised by construction-in-charges/site Supervisors. Develop and maintain inspection procedures and techniques, throughout the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning stages. Maintain accurate and calibrated inspection tools and equipment for consistent measurements of operation of the inspection and testing system.

Job Responsibilities

Implementation of Quality Plan: To implement a quality management and control program for the project. To prepare project specific quality plan, inspection and test plans, checklists and related procedures in coordination with QMS.

Monitor & Control Inspection: To monitor and control all inspection activities on site. To ensure all materials delivered to site are inspected and confirm to specified requirement.

Verification: To ensure that all test reports are verified to meet the contract requirements. To ensure all materials delivered to site are inspected and confirm to specified requirement. Responsible for overseeing audits of subcontractor quality management systems.

Follow up: Follow up, monitor and control snagging and de-snagging raised by the main contractor/consultant. Follow up for close out of material submittal comments in coordination with discipline project engineer. Responsible for overseeing audits of subcontractor quality management systems.

Documentation: To finalize the quality documentation in a presentable manner, in accordance with the conditions of the contract. To prepare closing out documents i.e. Operation and Maintenance manual in coordination with discipline engineer.

NCR's: To issue and administer the NC reports as necessary and to ensure follow-up and closing

Reporting: To report to the project manager any deficiencies in the operation of quality system and its control measures

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Civil engineering, or other relevant engineering degree.

Experience

Minimum 15 years quality related inspection experience in similar position,

Minimum 8 years as QC Engineer in the Oil & Gas Construction projects

Licenses/Certifications

ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.

ADNOC Approval will be an added advantage.
