We are seeking a highly qualified
Quantity Surveyor (Civil) for one of our construction projects (high rise building) in
Dubai. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in civil construction and a proven track record in quantity surveying (both pre and post-contract). The QS will also be responsible for ensuring the claims for process is adhered to based on agreed to payment schedules as well as variation proposal review and recommendations for acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
Contract Management:
Administer contracts and manage contract variations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.Budget Control:
Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide regular financial reports to project stakeholders.Risk Analysis: Conduct risk assessments related to cost factors and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying for civil engineering projects in UAE/GCC (5 years of UAE experience is mandatory).- High-rise building construction experience is required.
Professional accreditation (MRICS, PQS, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in cost estimating software and tools.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes.
