To develop and monitor the jobs budget. To monitor and update ongoing costs of all jobs in coordination with the relevant departments. To provide feedback on the actual costs of jobs to the Cost Control Manager through periodic status reports.
2. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:1) Coordinates with Planning and Construction in the calculation and updating of the Companys productivity (manpower and equipment) rates by activity.
1) Studies the Contract Documents to become thoroughly acquainted with BOQ, methods of measurements, scope of works, conditions of contract and specifications of the project.
2) Coordinates with the Project Manager and Contracts Administrator on the need to raise a variation when there are differences between the Contract Documents and the Issued For Construction (IFC) Documents.
3) Assists in the preparation of the supporting documents of the projects claims (quantify with substantiations, building-up rates, break-ups, etc.).
4) Highlights potential areas where cost can be claimed to the Contracts Administrator and Project Manager.
5) Reviews and thoroughly checks Job Budget and project cost report coming from the cost control department.
6) Verifies Material Requisition Forms (MRF) by checking the quantities against budgeted
quantities to ensure that they are within the Budget and making sure that the ordered items comply with contract specifications.
7) Highlights to the Project Manager and Contracts Administrator any anticipated costs variances on the projects.
8) Verifies the progress (either quantities or percentages) of the site, prepares Client Billing, reconciles the actual progress with the client representative and follow up on its approval from the Client.
9) Prepares variation orders in coordination with Construction, Engineering, and Planning functions and follow up on their approval by the Client.
10) Performs quantity take-off based on the methods of measurements as set in the contract documents (for both variations and final measurement of the projects).
11) Prepares the as-built quantification for re-measurement contracts as specified with contract.
12) Verifies the progress of subcontractors on site and prepares their progress reports and payment certificate accordingly.
13) Performs daily site visits.
14) Prepare progress reports which will include actual costs and manpower requirements to date and the forecasted costs and manpower requirements to complete the project (Cost to Complete).
15) Assists planning team in the preparation of manpower/equipment productivity reports.
16) Contributes to the preparation of the daily/weekly/monthly site report.
17) Attends weekly progress meeting and weekly coordination meeting.
18) Provides proposed cost to complete analysis to Project Manager and head office.
19) Contributes to the Cost Control section of the Job Close-Out Report incorporating differences between the Job Estimate, Job Budget and the actual cost of the project.
20) Provides Lessons Learned concentrating on items that affects the cost of the project.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
