Roles & Responsibilities:- Ensure all aspects of the project have been included
Analyses drawings, and prepares BOQ with specifications.- Prepare the estimation with a detailed break up possibly using estimation models and tools.
Coordinate with subcontractors to get the price for various elements within the project
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data- Understanding drawings and joinery technical issues
Visiting sites to gather information needed.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive prices for materials and equipment.
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with min of 8-10 years experience in a construction related field (contractor, developer) or in a similar role.
Experience in the construction industry, preferably in commercial or residential projects.- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel).
* A familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is preferred.
- Membership in a relevant professional organization is a plus (e.g., RICS).
