Job description
- Assist in establishing a clients requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Run cost analyses of the various types of work as a forerunner to tender preparation.
- Select, price and source construction materials.
- Advise clients on procurement strategies.
- Factor in the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Identify commercial risks and help develop suitable responses.
- Prepare pre / post contract documents and including bills of quantities
- Decide and appoint subcontractors, agree and analysis scope of services and allocate work.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project.
- Identify risks surrounding the project and the likelihood of cost variation.
- Track any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
- Value completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors.
- To issue COP (Certificate of Payment)
- Analyse progress and write detailed reports.
- Liaise between site managers, project managers, site engineers and the client.
- Prepare summary reports for the client and other relevant stakeholders.
- Run cost analyses for ongoing repair and maintenance work.
- Advise on any outstanding contractual claims remaining.
- Quantities take-off from soft / hardcopy provided by client
- Material quantities take-off. Monitor usage.
- To issue Payment Claim Schedule to client
- Evaluate and prepare tabulation reports of tenderer / contractors
