Cost Planning and Estimating:- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects.- Develop cost control strategies and track project expenses.
- Tendering and Procurement:
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.- Evaluate and negotiate contracts and bids from contractors and suppliers.
Manage the procurement process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Administer contracts and ensure that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Assess contractor performance and manage variations, claims, and disputes.
Prepare and analyze cost reports and financial statements.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and evaluate work completed.- Prepare interim and final valuation reports for payment.
Certify contractor payments and manage cash flow.
Identify potential financial and contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Provide advice on contractual and financial matters to clients and project managers.
- Cost Control and Reporting:
Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits.- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A COST CONSULTANT IS HIGHLY PREFERRED!!!
