Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Ensure project compliance with national environmental regulations, safeguarding our initiatives and promoting sustainable practices.
- Provide expert advice on navigating regulatory challenges and approvals, helping to streamline processes.
- Liaise with governmental agencies on compliance and policy issues, fostering strong relationships that benefit our projects.
- Conduct regulatory assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, ensuring our projects adapt accordingly.
- Develop training materials for project staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Law, Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of regulatory consulting experience, particularly within environmental projects, showcasing your depth of knowledge in the field.
- Expertise in environmental regulations and policies, enabling you to interpret legal frameworks effectively.
- Strong government liaison experience, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with regulatory bodies.
- Excellent analytical skills for evaluating regulatory impacts on project activities.
- Ability to develop compliance frameworks that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Certification in Environmental Compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is preferred.
- Environmental Law certification or equivalent is required.
