The Teaching, Learning and Development Lab (TLD) in the Division of Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant or research associate to work on research related to early childhood development (ECD) and the role of caregivers during the early years. The research assistant or research associate will work with the principal investigator, Dr. Antje von Suchodoletz, on a variety of projects.

The successful applicant will be well prepared to support ongoing projects in the TLD lab. Experience in ECD research and participant recruitment in the UAE and the ability to speak and read Arabic fluently are considered significant strengths, as much of the research associated with the position is conducted in the UAE and the greater Middle East region. Experience with data and data analyses as well as with scientific writing (as evidenced by co-authored publications and/or reports) are also considered a strength. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, researchers, administrators, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education or Human Development. Candidates with a Master's degree will be given priority. Knowledge of the local ECD landscape and training in ECD research are highly desired.
