Emerging Advanced Research Acceleration for Emerging Technology, Security, and Cryptology Center, seeks to recruit a research assistant to support the ongoing projects in cryptology, advanced cybersecurity, and AI-driven security analysis. This position assists with research, prototyping, data analysis, and technical support to ensure the smooth execution of research projects in collaboration with a dynamic team within Emerging Advanced Research Acceleration for Emerging Technology, Security, and Cryptology prototyping Center.
The successful applicant will support research initiatives in cryptography, cybersecurity, and AI-driven security solutions by contributing to experiments and the development of secure software and hardware prototypes. This role involves hands-on assistance in design, development, and rapid prototyping, working closely with a team to build and evaluate high-TRL cybersecurity applications. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment for readiness in prototyping and experimentation, troubleshooting issues as needed, and analyzing research data to provide insights for publications and proposals. Additionally, the applicant will collaborate with researchers to integrate innovative solutions, perform testing for security and functionality, and prepare reports, presentations, and surveys that clearly communicate project progress and findings
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in research or technical project environments. Experience in hands-on prototyping of hardware and software solutions, particularly within secure systems or cybersecurity applications, is essential. The ideal candidate will be familiar with rapid prototyping tools and techniques, including CAD software, 3D printing, and simulation environments, with experience in optimizing prototypes for testing and validation, especially for scalability and real-world application. They should have a proven track record of working on interdisciplinary projects that bridge hardware and software, as well as successful engagement in collaborative research environments, demonstrating an ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams
