The role
We are looking for an individual who has an interest, some experience in, or is passionate about the construction and projects market in the MENA region.
Reporting to the Head of Content and working alongside the MEED editor and commercial and marketing teams, the ideal candidate will be able to write, research, report on, and present data and analysis on the projects market as well as help manage a 50-strong research team collecting information and updates on developments across the civil construction, infrastructure, power, water and oil and gas sectors.
They should also have experience in dealing with clients and working with commercial teams to sell and manage accounts and responding to customer queries.
Key responsibilities:
- Contributing to high-quality, comprehensive and timely data collection, publishing, and analysis on the MEED Projects and GlobalData Construction Intelligence platforms
- Managing the research team ensuring daily, weekly and annual KPIs are being achieve
- Assisting commercial teams with client sales and retention
- Presenting analysis to clients in public presentations, webinars and at events
- Overseeing the development and enhancement of platform features and content
- Preparing and editing regular reports and updates on the market
Role requirements:
- Native level English fluency is essential as much of the job involves writing or editing. Arabic language skills will be beneficial.
- Excellent professional writing and oral communications skills.
- Experience of analytical report writing, presentation preparation and public speaking.
- Management experience of large KPI-led research teams.
- Strong secondary research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills would be a major advantage.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the MENA projects market is preferred but not essential.
- Experience of website and product development preferred.
