Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant.
    • Ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
    • Manage staff schedules and workflow.
  • Staff Management:
    • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
    • Address and resolve staff issues or conflicts.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
    • Handle customer complaints and ensure they are resolved promptly and effectively.
    • Foster a positive dining experience for guests.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and control operational costs.
    • Manage the restaurant's budget and financial performance.
    • Prepare financial reports and analyze performance data.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage inventory, ordering, and stocking of supplies.
    • Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers.
    • Plan and oversee promotional events.
    • Utilize social media and other platforms to enhance the restaurant's visibility.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
    • Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as a restaurant manager or in a similar role.
    • Experience in customer service management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Proficiency in restaurant management software.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • High level of organization and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certifications:
    • Food safety certification (depending on local regulations).
