Job scope:
- Understand the brand strategy and cascade it within the network and programs.
- Implement brand guidelines, considering each markets specifications.
- Agree on a yearly sales calendar with the commercial team.
- Control discounts and margins to ensure constant business profitability.
- Periodically follow up on sales figures per line and stock at hand (Sell-Out).
- Manage potential shortages, review orders, and inform the merchandising team on the status.
- Record, monitor, and analyze market trends and competitors activities.
- Provide commercial teams with quantitative and qualitative reports using market studies and internal systems.
- Define sales targets for each sales team member.
- Manage the P&L for the brand.
- Monitor brand performance and send recommendations.
- Manage organizational resources within budget guidelines.
- Provide accurate information to management on the brand's financial position.
- Develop and motivate team members to ensure knowledge transfer and a positive work environment.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals to maximize efficiency
- Ensure all departmental sales areas meet departmental and leisure facility standards, focusing on maximizing revenue through training operational teams.
- Establish clear financial targets for the operational management team across retail stores and channels.
- Coach and develop direct reports and operational managers to maintain high performance and ensure that guest and colleague satisfaction targets are achieved.
- Manage workforce utilization to meet park operational standards while ensuring labor costs stay within or below budget.
- Conduct timely, fair, and constructive colleague performance appraisals to support their personal and career development.
- Coach and discipline colleagues fairly and consistently to enhance motivation and performance.
- Interview and recommend candidates for open positions, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and equal employment opportunities to hire the most suitable candidates.
- Act as a positive, consistent, and fair role model, maintaining high standards and motivating others to achieve personal, departmental, and company goals.
- Communicate relevant information with colleagues to improve internal communication within the department and company.
- Comply with ISO standards to drive business excellence by monitoring, measuring, analyzing performance, and taking corrective or preventive actions.
- Understand, follow, and enforce all Farah standard operating procedures to exceed operational requirements and ensure the highest quality and service for guests.
- Develop, standardize, assess, and review department processes, policies, and procedures to support colleagues operational needs.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelors degree in management or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in a retail multi-unit management position
- Operational experience from multiple high volume turnover units such as theme parks, malls and airports
- Experience with similar product assortment as found in Farah retail outlets and other theme parks
- Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on man-management and leadership skills
- MS Office suite (IT) with emphasis on Excel
- Budgeting, profit and loss account, as well as margin calculations
