Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review target texts against the source materials to ensure translations are accurate, coherent, consistent, and aligned with the intended tone while being free of errors.
- Measure and manage team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to direct reports to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Identify and address barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality, creating and implementing plans to overcome these challenges.
- Take ownership of projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements and proactively managing crises.
- Develop, analyze, and refine new strategies, projects, and procedures to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
- Coach and mentor translators, facilitating job enrichment opportunities and internal promotions.
- Foster an inspiring team culture in line with leadership principles, promoting open communication, inclusion, and high job satisfaction.
- Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in translation, particularly in the localization field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of audiences.
- Previous experience in coordinating and coaching teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- High sense of urgency and proactive attitude.
- Effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.
