Organization Unit Purpose
ARC Unit is responsible for ensuring that the Bank complies with all relevant external laws and regulations applicable in the various jurisdictions that the Bank operates in. Significantly this includes compliance with Sanctions, Anti Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) requirements & not only of the countries that the Bank operates in but increasingly there is an expectation of compliance with those of key US and EU regulators along with Account/CDD Related services complying with Group & UAE Central Bank guidelines:
The Organization Unit achieves this by:
- Setting out the relevant regulatory requirements and expectations that the Bank must comply with in an Obligations Register which then maps these to the Bank's policies, procedures and processes (including systems).
- Working with the business to monitor and set appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, expectations, and industry best practices.
- Providing official written and informal guidance and advice on Compliance/Governance/Group Operations matters to the respective stakeholders as and when required (e.g. on a client, product or transaction basis).
- Ensuring that appropriate training is given to all relevant staff on the Banks policies and procedures. This includes the provision of training on key policies and procedures such as Sanctions, AML, CTF & CDD cum KYC.
- Undertaking periodic, Risk based Monitoring to ensure the Bank's policies and procedures are being complied with and escalates to management significant non-compliance.
- Managing key systems such as Customer Screening, Periodic Review & Other Account related services
- Responding to all regulatory requests to review and provide relevant information (e.g. customer, transaction, policy, procedure, training and process details) or cooperation in a timely manner.
- Initiate NPPAs and perform reviews where applicable.
- Attends Ops Risk Champions Forum (Governance) and submits/presents the monthly health check report (sampling results + trend analysis, updates of - INA findings, Op Risk actions and Top items in the departmental Ops Risk committee).
- Ensure Sampling: Control Self-Assessment (Sample checking daily/weekly/monthly ) carried as per the sampling framework.
- Ensure Risk events Reporting, Investigation and Escalation(adherence to Ops Risk requirements & Policy)
Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for providing Assurance on the Account Related & CDD Operations across the Group, including Account Onboarding & Maintenance, Projects, Name Screening & Periodic Review where the Group jurisdiction allows it, to support a consistent approach and promote efficiencies across ARC unit.

- Achievement of performance KPIs of net flows
- Ensure accurate detection of Quality issues & un-ethical practices.
- Provide analysis on error trends unit wise to provide as inputs to line managers to initiate training to their team.
- Monitoring the resources to ensure satisfactory completion of the work.
- Customer satisfaction
- Engaging stakeholders, managing expectations, and escalating concerns
- Providing ongoing status reports and regular updates on Project status, alerts investigations, Periodic Review and Account Related services to senior management.
- Risk and quality adherence

Person Specifications
Skills / Work Experience
- Good understanding of KYC, CDD, AML, FATCA & Name screening.
- Sound compliance knowledge.
- Analytical and attention to detail.
Problem identification and solving skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate at both detailed and concise levels with all levels of management.
- Good time management skills and adherence to deadlines.
- MIS Skills.
- Prior QA / Risk / Processing /supervisory Role that has exhibited taking ownership of work and proactively learning new processes.
- Should have thorough knowledge of his/her own current process.
- Interpersonal abilities to present a business-friendly image to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Good team work skills to establish and maintain effective business relationship with key stakeholders.
- The incumbent will have at least 5 years of banking experience in a recognized regulated market, of which at least 1 years must be in QA officer role.
- Previous 2 year experience in to Customer Due Diligence or Account Related services, Name screening, KYC
- Professional certifications in Compliance, AML such as CAMS.
