The Risk Manager will be responsible for managing risks, issues, and changes across the program. This role involves identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks to ensure the program's successful delivery and adherence to the programs objectives and timelines. The Risk Manager will report to the Project Controls Manager and work closely with the Senior Project Controls Specialist and Planner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Identification and Analysis: Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential risks that could impact the program. Analyze risks to determine their potential impact and likelihood.
- Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize the impact of identified risks. Continuously monitor and adjust these plans as necessary.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive risk registers and prepare regular risk reports for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure that all risk management activities are well-documented.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and external partners to identify and manage risks. Facilitate risk workshops and training sessions to enhance risk awareness.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that risk management practices comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk management activities. Continuously monitor and report on risk management performance.
- Issue and Change Management: Manage program-level issues and changes, ensuring that they are documented, analyzed, and addressed promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years minimum overall post-graduate experience.
- 5 years in GCC minimum.
- 5 years minimum experience working on similar / comparable projects in terms of scale, particularities, and/or Complexities.
- Minimum years of experience in a managerial capacity: Not mandatory.
- English proficiency: mandatory.
- Arabic proficiency: not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
