WSP Middle East is currently looking for a Road and Traffic Engineer to join an on-going project in Riyadh, KSA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in road and traffic engineering, with a proven track record in site supervision within the construction consultancy sector.
As a Road Engineer at WSP, you will lead and oversee the successful delivery of road and traffic infrastructure projects, leveraging your technical expertise and project management skills to drive excellence and innovation.
Your new role, what's involved
Provide technical oversight and guidance during the construction phase of road projects, conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications and contractual requirements.
Implement robust quality assurance and control measures to ensure that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and standards.
Develop and implement traffic management plans and safety measures to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of road users, construction workers, and the public.
Monitor traffic flow, signage, and temporary diversions, and proactively address any issues or concerns to maintain smooth and safe operation of roadways during construction.
Engage with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and communities to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, providing regular updates, progress reports, and technical presentations to ensure transparency and alignment.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
BSc Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 15 years of experience in road and traffic engineering, with a focus on site supervision within the construction consultancy sector.
Professional engineering license or equivalent certification preferred
Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects
In-depth knowledge of engineering procedures
Extensive knowledge and experience in road design, construction, and maintenance, with a deep understanding of relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
Demonstrable experience dealing with third-party issues, the Authority s customers, statutory undertakers, and other impacted stakeholders, in compliance with requirements
