Job Description

The main responsibilities of the Roaster & Multi Unit Head Barista is to prepare and roast different types of single origin and blends. Also prepare the blends for different type of brewing. Your responsibilities include, organizing and maintaining the Roastery creating & optimizing roasting profiles, roasting coffees to perfection, preparing & managing Green Beans; and optimizing Roasted Bean storage, resting and packing techniques implementation.

To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Roaster and be able to create profiles, implement and keep up with pre and post quality control. Organize cupping sessions.

Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious perfectly roasted coffee to our customers on a consistent basis.

You will supervise and ensure that all bar company procedures are followed to protect employees, guests and company assets, manage shifts while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness, investigate and resolve complaints concerning product quality.

You possess barista experience and coffee knowledge and ability to provide barista training to staff.

You will manage daily operations of an outlet when required and maintains quality standard of services. You will develops training manuals for the bar operations. You will also correct any operational inconsistency in the bar operations in all the establishments.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participating in the ordering in green coffee inventory with preferred green bean suppliers.
  • Operating all resting equipment.
Creating and optimizing roasting profiles.
  • Assist with creating new recipes and blends of roasted coffee.
Roasting and fulfilling coffee orders.
  • De-stoning coffee and cleaning of any impurities.
Assist with bagging & sealing roasted coffee.
  • Sample roasting & cupping new coffees.
Assist with delivering coffee orders.
  • Assist with placing/receiving product orders.
Organize and maintain the roaster ad is equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the green bean stock.
Ensure that all equipment in the caf bars and the roastery are properly cleaned, maintained and kept as new. Follow up on all maintenance of the mentioned equipment.
  • Train all staff including baristas and salespersons, on roasting general knowledge and flavor profiles, descriptions and selling techniques.
Train all staff on coffee making, milk frothing and late art.
  • Develop new coffee and non-coffee drinks to enhance the menu.
Cooperate with head company barista on a daily basis to ensure that the quality of coffee and quality of other products are up to standards
  • Ensures that all his team had good knowledge of our products and their production method.
Never stops learning and expanding his knowledge on coffee, tea and all bar products and new trends.
  • Increases sales and performs upselling and cross selling.
Responds to any guest inquiries concerning our products, history and brand
  • Maintains efficient, friendly service standards and demonstrates such standards when training other team members.
Maintains the high quality of service and products as expected by B Hospitality and Bafarat cafe.
  • Follows all Company drink recipes and procedures.
Develop and ensure consistency in roasting specialty, single origin, Arabic, blended and Turkish coffee.
  • Create flavor profiles for all roasted coffee.
