Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that facility operates in a safe and complaint manner, with a focus on preventing accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents related to the handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.

Job Duties
1- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures that comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
2- Conducting safety inspections and audits of the facility, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3- Providing safety training to employees and contractors on proper safety procedures, the handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, and emergency response protocols.
4- Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and conducting regular drills to ensure that employees are prepared to respond to accidents or incidents.
5- Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify the root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
6- Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and other safety-related activities.
7- Collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to identify and implement safety improvements and risk mitigation measures.
8- Monitoring and reporting on safety performance metrics, such as injuries incidents rates, making recommendations for improvement
Overall, the safety officer's primary responsibility to ensure that the factory operates in a safe and compliant manner, with the goal of preventing accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related major.
- Good command of English language and fluency in Arabic language.
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in this position.
- Certifications like NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) is a big plus
