What You'll do:
- Document training records and incident investigations in compliance with regulations and standards.
- Administrate all safety programs that are related to various government agencies and insurance programs.
- Conduct site audits to evaluate the physical and human hazards in compliance with internally approved audit tools and initiate corrective actions as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production groups regarding plant layouts, manufacturing processes, and equipment design.
- Supports site safety performance targets (AFR, ASR, etc.) and reports performance to targets to site management.
- Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems to the safety manager or authorized bodies or Head Office counterpart, whichever is applicable.
- Conduct investigation & root cause analysis for all safety incidents, outline preventive safety measures to reduce hazard risk.
- Supervise & administrate his/her direct reports.
- Establish, update, & execute the Emergency Plans related to identifying emergencies related to OHS & Environment.
- Execute/support all objectives, targets, programs, and action plans related to OHS and Environment.
- Document site-related hazards, and significant environmental aspects and report to Quality Assurance/Top Management to collaborate efforts in achieving the reduction of the identified risks and significant environmental aspects.
- Promote OHS and Environmental related activities, system components, and Performance indicators.
What You'll need:
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
- Understanding of the Emergency Incident Command system and its role in its structure.
- Demonstrates the mechanical aptitude and ability to analyze the mechanics of power equipment and tooling.
- Understanding of OHSAS, OSHA, and local government labor laws.
