Job Description

Job Purpose :

The Sales Account Manager Government Sector is responsible for driving revenue by selling services and software solutions tailored to government clients. This role emphasizes strategic account management, fostering long-term relationships, understanding unique public-sector needs, and delivering innovative solutions to meet sales objectives.

Job Description :

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with government stakeholders to ensure trust and repeat business.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of government accounts, ensuring high levels of client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the government sector, addressing the needs of ministries, agencies, and public institutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed targets while expanding market share in the government domain.
  • Present and communicate the value of our solutions effectively, ensuring alignment with government priorities and compliance standards.
  • Lead negotiations, close contracts, and ensure agreements meet both client requirements and company goals.
  • Design tailored proposals and pricing strategies to address public sector challenges while ensuring profitability.
  • Proactively respond to client inquiries and resolve challenges to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Represent the company at government forums, industry events, and trade shows to promote our offerings.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for review by senior management.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and public-sector requirements.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • 7+ years of professional sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • 5+ years of experience selling services and software solutions specifically to the government sector.
  • Demonstrated success managing large accounts and complex sales cycles in the public sector.
  • Experience in developing tailored solutions for government entities, ensuring compliance with procurement and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and solutions.
