Position Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Manager for Companion Animal is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet regional targets, planning marketing campaigns, and building relationships with key stakeholders like veterinary clinics and shelters. This role involves leading a team, conducting market research, and collaborating with various partners to drive sales growth. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to travel within the region. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the health industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet regional sales targets for companion animal products.
* Marketing Initiatives: Plan and execute products launches and marketing campaigns to promote companion animal products and services.
* Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Team Management: Lead and manage sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
* Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
* Collaboration: Work closely with national account managers, corporate account teams, and distribution partners to drive sales growth.
* Reporting: Analyze sales data and prepare reports to track performance and inform strategic decisions.
* Budget Management: Oversee the regional sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
* Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Compliance: Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales and marketing initiatives, adjusting as needed to achieve goals.
* Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts to guide production and inventory planning, ensuring product availability aligns with market demand.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and manage product stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations, coordinating with supply chain and logistics teams.
* Demand Planning: Collaborate with the supply chain team to align demand planning with sales forecasts, ensuring timely replenishment of products.
