Job Description

To ensure the proper functioning of the sales system, as well as company information systems in Arabia, the Group Department and the After-sales Department.
  • Job Duties:
Establish the documentation of the system, which should include the procedures for developing and carrying out the documentation of the systems, the methods of communication with the areas participating in the development, as well as the procedures for reviewing and approving the results obtained in each phase of the system, in order to facilitate the control of the project.
  • Negotiate the implementation of the new systems, which should include satisfactory testing of their functionality and robustness, conversion to the system after the necessary adjustments and formal delivery to the end user, in order to ensure that the product has the best operating conditions.
Ensure that the evolutionary and corrective maintenance tasks of the systems implemented are those necessary in response to changes in procedures within the organization, in the Group's policies, or in the legal field, in order to offer the best technical support for the development of the same.
  • Manage the group department, handle agency requests, order new trains to meet agency demand.
Manage passenger claims for financial compensation.
  • Manage compensation for train delays or cancellations and sales system failures (tickets not issued but cashed, failures in sending tickets to the customer, errors in refunds due to ticket cancellations or exchanges, ...).
Prepare reports for the TGA (Transport General Authority) and for the client (SAR).
  • Manage the creation of trains, creation of commercial offers. Blocking trains / cars or seats for operational reasons, incidents, etc. Change of quotas for each route covered by the train to adapt to the demand of the moment.
Manage internal PostgreSQL database that is fed from the official sales system data in order to obtain the operational reports that the system does not provide.
  • Creation of Excel VBA processes for importing data into PostgreSQL database
Creation of Excel / Power BI reports from PostgreSQL database.
  • Review statistics generated from established data collection systems.
Ensure that the operation of the sales system is in accordance with the needs of users and customers in Arabia.
  • Manage the correction of detected sales system errors, ensure that they are corrected and apply mitigating actions while the error remains uncorrected.
  • Desirable:
In-depth knowledge of databases, SQL.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel at VBA programming level, since many of the reports are developed in this type of files.
Knowledge of ticketing systems, new offer creation, fares and quota/quota management.
