The role of the Sales executive- Shipping and logistics is to serve as a Company ambassador, overseeing day-to-day sales and focusing on the long-term interests of the business within the Middle East region. The role pursues new business and works alongside the customer support with the Company buying processes and choice of suppliers.

Role/Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- 3 years of regional Sales experience
- Drivers License in UAE
- Microsoft 365 experience
- English is essential
Functional Responsibilities
Buying Division 20% of role
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms with Airlines/sea freight carriers and suppliers i.e. Hauliers/warehouses
- Dealing with Overseas agents buying
- Consolidate current business so the Company buys better
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Sales Development 80% of the role
- Responsible for helping to meet sales targets, reporting monthly on achievements to date in order for commission payments to be made
- Identify which products/markets we need to push and communicate this info to the sales division at weekly sales meetings
- Responsible for sustained market research leading to market intelligence which channelizes sales drives.
- Ensure all routed business is followed up with a sales call.
- Outside sales with their own client base and targets/commission structure remain in place
- Maintains sales volume and sales margins while staying abreast of changing trends, economic indicators, and competitor activity.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
