The Sales Manager in Gargash Motors plays a critical role in overseeing all sales showrooms to drive revenue growth and uphold the dealership's standards of excellence. The position involves direct leadership of the Showroom Managers and Showroom Controllers, with a primary responsibility for implementing the dealership's sales strategy across multiple locations. The Sales Manager is also accountable for sales governance, including risk management and mitigation strategies, ensuring that all processes adhere to established standards while safeguarding the business from potential risks.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the execution of the GM sales strategy, ensuring all sales teams and showroom operations align with the group's objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to break down strategic goals into actionable initiatives for Showroom Managers and Controllers.
Regularly evaluate and adjust sales strategies based on performance metrics, market conditions, and customer feedback to ensure ongoing growth.
Analyse and report on the effectiveness of promotional efforts, ensuring their impact on showroom traffic and sales volume.
Implement governance frameworks for all sales operations, ensuring adherence to group standards, internal policies, and external regulatory requirements.
Implement, and enforce standardized policies and procedures that govern sales activities across all dealership locations.
Conduct regular audits of sales processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
Identify potential risks, including financial, operational, and compliance-related risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with leadership and compliance teams to establish risk management protocols that proactively address potential issues.
Regularly assess the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and adjust them as needed to protect all dealerships from potential disruptions.
Ensure all sales team members understand the risks associated with sales operations and are trained in best practices for risk avoidance and mitigation.
Develop and maintain contingency plans to address unforeseen risks, ensuring that sales operations can continue smoothly in the event of disruptions.
Work closely with Showroom Managers and Controllers to ensure these plans are actionable and regularly updated.
Standardise sales workflows across all dealership locations, ensuring consistency in customer interactions, follow-ups, and deal closures.
Regularly review and streamline sales processes to eliminate inefficiencies, improve productivity, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Monitor the sales pipeline to ensure all opportunities are properly tracked and managed through the CRM system, from lead generation to vehicle delivery.
Collaborate with Showroom Managers and Controllers to ensure that every stage of the sales process is executed effectively, with continuous oversight of progress and performance.
Manage all aspects of showroom operations to ensure a seamless and premium customer experience in line with the group's standards.
Work with Showroom Managers and Controllers to optimise vehicle displays, customer flow, and overall showroom ambiance to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
Ensure daily sales and showroom operations run smoothly, from customer inquiries and test drives to vehicle delivery, in coordination with sales teams.
Continuously monitor and assess sales performance across all dealership locations, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales volumes, profitability, customer retention, and market share, to evaluate all sales team's performance.
Conduct regular performance assessments with Showroom Managers and Controllers, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any identified sales performance issues, ensuring these plans are executed effectively.
Work closely with Showroom Managers and Controllers to monitor the progress of improvement strategies and ensure that any adjustments lead to measurable results.
Work closely with other departments, including marketing, aftersales, finance, and logistics, to ensure a unified approach to sales operations.
Ensure that sales campaigns are integrated with marketing efforts and aligned with inventory levels and showroom operations.
Ensure the CRM system is fully leveraged by the sales teams, ensuring accurate data capture, lead tracking, and follow-ups.
Provide training and guidance to the Sales teams on best practices for sales operations processes to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales operations within a automotive dealership, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven track record in managing or leading high-performing sales teams in a complex, multi-location dealership environment.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales Management, or a related field (preferred). Professional certifications or advanced training in automotive sales, operations management, or leadership (a plus).
