JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and oversee work schedules and plans to coordinate and enhance the overall sales operations.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES.
1) Coordinate, organize, and implement sales initiatives, focusing on cattle, forage, compost, scrap, and other approved sale materials.
2) Oversee cow and compost sales activities by ensuring seamless coordination between the sales team, Herds, and Compost departments, aligning with company procedures.
3) Facilitate effective collaboration with other departments to develop and implement an efficient sales plan.
4) Execute sales strategies and plans, delivering exceptional customer service to both existing and new clients.
5) Build strong professional relationships with existing customers while expanding the customer base by identifying business opportunities and targeting potential clients. Address customer issues, resolve concerns, and escalate complex matters to the Sales Section Head as needed.
6) Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, auction techniques, etc.
7) Check and verify orders as per price lists and the total number of animals available for sale and all scrap items or materials for sale. Monitor the level of products (inventory) in the stockroom.
8) Boost sales performance to achieve or surpass targets, and regularly submit reports on sales, collections, and receivables to the Sales Section Head.
9) Monitor cash payments from sales transactions and reconcile remittance of these sales regularly.
10) Review all sales-related documents, including sales invoice requests, gate passes, and credit/cash invoices. Ensure copies of these documents are submitted to the Calf Unit in the Herds Department.
Support team development by setting performance targets and objectives, conducting progress reviews, and evaluating performance based on achievements relative to targets. Foster engagement to help meet department goals.
Contribute to the development of the section's work plans, distribute and track work activities, projects, and programs. Monitor workflow and assess work methods and procedures within the scope of responsibility.
13) Contribute to the implementation and transformation of policies, procedures, goals, and plans into medium- and short-term initiatives to drive internal development and enhance productivity.
14) Perform additional administrative tasks, including conducting staff meetings, preparing periodic reports, and proposing plans and programs to enhance the operational and fiscal efficiency of the section.
QUALIFICATIONS ANDEXPERIENCE
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
An agricultural or business background is a MUST.
Knowledgeable in the principles and applications of sales and marketing.
Knowledgeable in business administration.
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, 2 years of which were spent in a supervisory capacity.
Strong experience in using SAP.
