The role:
SAP ABAP Developer
Summary of the role:
Under Solution Manager reporting line, the SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for developing ABAP Programs, ALV reports, SmartForms, Workflows, Fiori Apps and Dynpro program. This position will require direct interaction with end-users, business leaders and IT team members.
Responsibilities:
It is included but not limited to:
- Ensure quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
- Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs.
- Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
- Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions.
- Engage with other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
- Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability, and archiving) meet all SLA's.
- Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.
- Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP integration activities.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users, functional consultants, and other stakeholders on new developments, features, and best practices related to SAP ABAP development.
- Stay Updated of latest SAP technologies, tools, and trends in ABAP development through continuous learning and training.
- Use version control systems (e.g., AbapGit, Git) to manage codebase and collaborate with team members.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Other administrative functions
Qualifications:
- BA in Electronic Engineer, System Engineer or any other Engineer related.
- Other certifications in SAP are a plus
- 3 to 5 years of extensive experience in SAP ABAP (WRICEF).
Technical Competencies:
- Strong object orientation experience.
- Experience in SAP ODATA and Gateway development.
- Experience with CDS Views is mandatory.
- SAP PI/PO, CPI and Workflow experience is a great plus.
- SAP Fiori development experience is a plus.
Other Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical/functional specifications documents.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
- Ability to learn in a fast manner.
Languages:
English advanced both written and spoken.
