Job Overview
To contribute to the success of the team and the organization in achieving the vision of Group IT by managing ABH Companies allowing them to optimize their ability to create value for Albatha Group. Specific areas of responsibility would be the improvement and enhancement of ABH ERP (SAP), managing the support for all group companies, Project Management, and the transition from traditional IT into a MIS driven organization. The Head of ERP is expected to provide clear leadership to all Industry Leads and create an environment in which Group IT can operate in the most efficient and effect manor.
Key Accountabilities
1: Business Performance
- Responsible for the daily management, support, and maintenance of the core business applications at Albatha Group
- Manage the delivery of application enhancement programs through BPM and BPR
- Manage SAP enhancement programs and or projects as decided by Group Head IT
- Manage the Record to Report process and support all the business in this area.
- To be the key driver of the use of business applications throughout ABH
- To ensure Business Process Documentation and End User Manuals are up to date, maintained properly and available to all.
- To comply with company policies and procedures
- To comply with data security measures as per information security policies and procedures
- To escalate software problems to respective vendors/partners
- To implement application specific recommendations from internal/external auditors
- To report on ongoing project status.
- Identify ways to target reduction of paper-based resources used in decision making, digitize current physical workflows and other solutions to meet Green IT policy requirements.
- Incorporate standardization in application development services as per IT Service Management standards and corporate best practices for all services assigned from the IT Service catalogue.
- To implement application specific recommendations from internal/external auditors.
- To implement controls required by Federal or Local Government Laws & Regulations.
2: Customers and Partner Relations
- To coordinate provision of excellence customer service to all business application users while maintaining professional standards
- To coordinate activities to respond promptly to internal customers request for support.
- To maintain effective working relationships and interaction with users to ensure alignment of Group IT and Business Objectives
- To identify and implement various initiatives to improve user satisfaction and SAP support.
- To collect user feedback to improve service levels and to meet commitments to internal customers.
- To resolve helpdesk issues as per the SLA's
- To collect SAP training requirements from the different divisions and coordinate internal and external training sessions.
3: People Management
- Should be team orientated, generating a strong sense of team spirit amongst the colleagues and other supporting departments for working towards a shared vision.
- Establish and maintain a participative and supportive team culture amongst all team members.
- Communicate clear performance objectives and individual performance targets to all team members.
- Assist the team in developing measurement tools to give real time information on operational performance.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit by empathizing with the team's commitment to the goals and objectives.
- Manage, motivate colleagues, train, develop the knowledge and skills of the team and ensure that procedures related to performance appraisals and employee compliance are followed.
- Advise all levels of management on their responsibilities and accountabilities in relation to IT and ERP related topics.
4: Leadership/Innovation
- To suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solution using BPM methodology
- Keeps the management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Ensure commitment and team progress towards the divisional and corporate mission, vision, and core values through monthly team meetings.
- Prepare formal reports for senior management expressing an opinion on the quality of IT systems and incorporating agreed solutions to process gaps.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Certified SAP Consultant
- An MBA with a computer science or IT Management specification is preferred.
- A Project Management certification is highly appreciated.
- Fluent in verbal & written communication in English language required.
- Minimum of 7 full cycle SAP implementations
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant management experience
- In depth functional knowledge and hands on configuration experience in one of the following areas: SAP FICO and at least 1 other SAP module
- Around 8 years of different IT roles
- Minimum 5 years of team management
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
- Industry Specific Implementation Experience is a must.
- Exposure to SharePoint is a major plus.
- Experience in planning and managing large size IT projects in a multi-cultural environment, with internal and external resources from cross functional backgrounds.
- Good understanding of ERP (SAP) and MIS applications
- Understand business processes in Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Project Engineering and or Retail industry.
- Experience in initiatives to improve business benefits through BPR and or BPM
- Participated in minimum of 6 SAP implementations of which 4 completed full implementation cycle.
- Experience in managing project costs, time, and budget.
- Experience organizing support activities based on business priorities and resource availability.
