About the Role: The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support and assistance to end-users within the company. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring systems, and ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a customer service-oriented approach, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for IT issues, including hardware, software, network, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and network services.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems and software.
- Document technical issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist in the set-up and deployment of new hardware and software.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on larger projects and initiatives.
- Provide training and support to end-users on IT best practices and usage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Certification in IT support or related areas (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
