SEA FREIGHT PRICING SPECIALIST - EGYPT

SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

Savino Del Bene is currently looking for an energetic and well-rounded Sea Freight Pricing Specialist to join our growing team in Egypt. As a Sea Freight Pricing Specialist, you will have experience in handling all processes involved in ocean import/export shipments from inception through to final destination delivery, covering FCL and LCL shipments. You are confident in your ability to review and streamline shipping and transportation processes. You will have up-to-date knowledge of documentation and customs procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage FCL, LCL, and special cargo (OOG) rate requests and lead the responses.
• Manage the RFQ Process for Global FCL and LCL Sea Freight Tenders and lead RFQ in a timely response.
• Expert with pricing tools, databases, and processes.
• Managed and updated the existing customers pricing.
• Reviewed all sales requests for potential clients and offered rates based on market trends for each trade zone.
• Analyzed changes in market conditions such as capacity, competition, schedules, and fares to develop, implement, and track appropriate pricing strategies.
• Effectively handle procurement duties as assigned and maintain good relationships with our representatives at shipping lines
• Proactively effectively communicated market/pricing/target strategies with our vendors.
• Independently analyzed coming requests and questions by using experience/strategy.
• Must be able to handle multiple requests at the same time.
• Learn and understand the various pricing tools available to the team, such as reading the contracts, having skills in obtaining rates from the internal portal, and being familiar with the Steamship Lines website.
• Utilize logistics knowledge and experience to support and manage Sea freight pricing.

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team-specific requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proficiency in Arabic and the English language. Any additional language would be a plus (Italian, French, German..etc)

At least 2+ years of business experience in the international shipping/freight forwarding /logistics industries.

Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Analytical and numerical skills.

Good negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as flexibility, and proactivity.

Accuracy and sense of responsibility.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Availability for any trips abroad.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible approach with a strong team spirit.

Ability to understand procedures/processes quickly and adhere to them accurately.
