We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Seafood Retail Operations Manager for Country Hill's Fish retail store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for seafood and a deep understanding of seafood processing and products ensuring the highest standards of quality, freshness, and customer service. The key success factor for the job revolves around effectively managing various aspects of the fish retail store and ensuring overall success in delivering high-quality seafood products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the fish retail store, including training, and scheduling staff.
Maintain inventory levels, order seafood products, and ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed to prevent waste and ensure freshness.
Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability, including attractive displays and promotions.
Monitor product quality and consistency, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source the highest quality seafood products at competitive prices.
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market developments to recommend enhancements and improve the overall customer experience.
Collaborate with the team to develop recipes, create seafood specials, and provide expertise on seafood preparation techniques.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper equipment maintenance.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of different types of seafood, including sourcing, handling, and preparation methods.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
Knowledge and understanding of seafood processing and cooking techniques (value-added products)
Certification in food safety is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Science, or a related field is a plus.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Seafood Manager or in a similar role within the seafood industry.
Culinary experience a plus
