The Security Specialist, Aviation & Maritime (SS-A&M) is a versatile role providing security assessments, advice, coordination, and monitoring support to clients as part of a 24-7 global operational capability.
The Security Specialist A&M is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of high-quality written and verbal security assessments and advice to organizations in the aviation, commercial maritime, and luxury yachting sectors. The CSS A&M will support clients with global situational awareness by scanning for, reporting, and escalating developing aviation and maritime related security issues.
The Security Specialist reports to the Security Manager, Aviation and Maritime.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery of best-in-class tailored verbal and written aviation and maritime related security assessments to a multinational client base operating globally.
Collect, analyze, and disseminate security information and intelligence affecting client organizations in the aviation and maritime industries in line with guidance from regional and functional analysts, including monitoring key crisis escalation indicators.
Maintain continuous awareness of the aviation and maritime security environment through detailed research and knowledge of industry trends and regulatory guidance.
Deliver security training and consulting as required.
Travel as needed to support crisis situations and develop local aviation and maritime networks to further support clients
Required Qualifications and Work Experience
Degree-level qualification in political science, risk management, security studies, international relations or related subject, or equivalent work experience in a security or aviation related field
Post-graduate qualification in political science, risk management, security studies, international relations or related subject or equivalent work experience desirable
Proven experience in security-related field, such as military, government, NGO, or journalism; or relevant academic studies.
Experience in the aviation sector, ideally in a security or flight planning capacity.
Experience in the maritime sector.
Experience in writing for senior management and business decision-makers.
Customer service/ client facing experience including sales.
Languages
Fluent English ( Written & Spoken)
Arabic proficiency highly desirable
Proficiency in other languages is advantageous (Farsi, Turkish, etc.)
