Senior Accountant [6 Months Contract]

Finance Department manages customers, vendors and internal staff finance relationship.

As a part of the organization, the Finance team is responsible for all Customer collections, project accounting, financial reporting, and other related tasks.

The Senior Accountant will be involved in financial reporting, project accounting and analysis, monthly closing of books, tax, and other related responsibility He is also expected to continuously improve existing processes and procedures towards efficiency.

The Senior Accountant will be required to work in a highly secured and confidential environment where the need for being well organized and structured in order to maintain the level of security and confidentiality is of utmost importance.

The Senior Accountant should also have an experience working in ERP environment.

Project Accounting

1. Perform project analysis and reporting, budget forecasting, and maintain various reports.

2. Prepare project related closing tasks and schedules.

3. Close coordination with project managers to keep track of project progress and financial performance.

4. Conduct financial audits an identify areas for cost saving and process improvements.

5. Focus and accurate track of project revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards

Financial Reporting

1. Participates in the preparation of monthly schedules, financial statements and other reports.

2. Manages monthly closing of financial records and recording of month end information related to financial records.

3. Provides other reports for internal/external use.

4. Prepare Analysis for internal/external use.

Process Improvement

1. Suggests/process and procedure improvement relating to financial process.

Others

1. Support with other team members task and responsibilities

Skills/Certifications (Technical & Non-Technical)

Chartered Accountancy, CIMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent degree

Desired skills:

Excellent in Excel

Excellent Reporting Skills

Experience in working in ERP environments

Experience in UAE VAT & Corporate Tax laws and regulations

Experience in Financial Reporting and Analysis

Experience in Project Accounting

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum 4 years experience accounting, finance, and auditing. Candidates with audit experience from Big 4 and with experience in private companies are preferred

Education

Chartered Accountancy, CIMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent degree
