Job Purpose
- TThe position consists of recording financial information and prepare monthly reports to maintain assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares journal entries for the general ledger and various subsidiary ledgers as per IFRS and group policy and procedure.
- Perform monthly reconciliation over the subledger and ensure accuracy, completeness of the accounting records.
- Prepares monthly summaries and reports for internal use by compiling information and reconciling various ledger accounts.
- Preparing the necessary schedule and tracker for assets, liabilities, and equity.
- Prepares audit workpapers for the fiscal year audit by compiling and analysing the year-to-date accounting information.
- Contributes to a work environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and development of skills.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development seminars/training as directed by line management.
- Contributes to the overall success by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned, maintaining high levels of accuracy, maintaining a professional demeanour and appropriate levels of confidentiality.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in accounting/finance
- 4+ years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS, International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Excellent MS skills, preferable experience in SAP
- Good communication and organization skills
