Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial reporting processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Assist in budgeting and strategic financial planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
