Reporting into the Design Manager, the incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of architectural designs across various luxury real-estate development projects.
You will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your focus will be on creating realistic project timelines, identifying potential risks and bottlenecks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in architecture along with working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit.
- Knowledge of BIM is an advantage.
- A minimum of 10-5 years of experience in a similar capacity working within a luxury residential or hotel project.
- At least 5 years of experience working for a reputable consultancy in site based Architectural role.
- Knowledge of Building codes and regulations.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in review and analysis of technical site drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential project delays and risks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Design Consistency: Review architectural drawings for consistency in design intent, aesthetics, and brand standards across all phases of projects.
- Quality Control Leadership: Implement and enforce quality control processes for technical drawings, ensuring they meet the consultancy's standards for accuracy, completeness, and presentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and national building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations to ensure drawings comply with all relevant requirements.
- Peer Review Coordination: Coordinate peer reviews with other architects and disciplines to gather feedback on technical drawings and integrate constructive criticism into design revisions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with technical drawings, construction details, and specifications to minimize errors and delays.
- Documentation Management: Manage and organize drawing sets, revisions, and related documentation to maintain accurate records and facilitate seamless project transitions.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to evaluate design alternatives and value engineering opportunities that improve cost-efficiency without compromising design quality.
- Technology Integration: Explore and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of technical drawing review processes.
- Training and Development: Develop training programs and workshops to educate junior architects and team members on best practices in technical drawing review and documentation.
