Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards
- Develop engineering designs, plans, and specifications for construction, considering factors such as safety, cost, and environmental impact
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure construction activities align with design and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of civil engineering elements within multidisciplinary projects
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively, providing regular progress reports to clients and senior management
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff, fostering their professional growth
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in civil engineering practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on building projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and in-depth knowledge of applicable engineering codes and regulations
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential engineering challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment
- Proven track record of successfully delivering civil engineering projects on time and within budget
