As a Commissioning/Service Engineer you will work within experienced GIS, CM C&P teams to design, test and deploy complex solutions for transmission operator substations, work with customers to develop innovate solutions, and design new solutions to cater for our future network expansion solutions.
The team is responsible to engineer, commission, troubleshoot, maintain customer adapted solution in modernization projects.
How Youll Make an Impact
Perform all I&C commissioning activities as well as control optimization and troubleshooting using Siemens or similar OEMs systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the equipment as specified and liaises with other involved parties such as erection, sub-contractors, engineering, employer and authorities.
Responsible for performing all substation control system commissioning and troubleshooting activities for the assigned systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the equipment as specified.
You will be responsible for the lifecycle testing of the control system including pre-FAT testing, FAT testing in the presence of the customer, site testing and commissioning of the control system, and handover testing.
Align with site regulations, EHS requirements, quality and PTW procedures.
Identify, define, and put in place instructions for abnormal operational situations which are not covered in the existing O&M manuals.
Prepare commissioning site documentation and the required documentation on time.
Prepare and conduct training to the customer.
What you bring
Youll be a proven engineer, qualified to degree level or equivalent, experienced with in electrical or control engineering with previous local market site experience.
Previous experience in commissioning, configuration, testing or trouble shooting of protection/control equipment typically used in substation.
Proficient English language skills, further language skills are very welcome
Strong communication skills, teamwork and self-driven
Team player attitude, a flexible attitude to travel is also required, as you may be required to mobilize on short notice
Good team skills, initiative, and customer orientation
