Activities and End-Purposes:
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance requirements are updated accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with the members of compliance community, compliance officers and BCC, EMME Directors, Managers, and Country Managers to ensure compliance with Saint-Gobain policies and internal control procedures.
- Implementation, deploy and disseminate the compliance program of Saint-Gobain across the EMME cluster and in collaboration with compliance officers in the entities, on all compliance matters including, Trade Compliance Policy, sanctions, embargoes, export control, Competition and anti-trust, data protection, anti-corruption.
- Coordinate compliance activities across the cluster, ensuring timely compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Assist entities in implementing compliance statements and action plans to ensure conformity with control procedures.
- Follow-up on the proper screening of business partner by using the proper screening tools, such as the AEB tool, to enhance compliance by identifying blacklisted partners.
- Ensure specific contractual provisions in contracts comply with compliance requirements.
- Perform compliance trainings on group compliance matters, such as Anti-Corruption, Trade Compliance, and Competition law, at the entity level to increase awareness.
- Assist in reviewing, preparing and documenting compliance best practices, policies, and procedures of the SG group.
Qualifications / experience required:
- Bachelor degree in Law. Master of Laws (LL.M.) is a plus, Audit or equivalent degree.
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Excellent command of English, French and Arabic
- Good Command of MS Office suite.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and to work under stress.
