Senior Cost Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Deliver thorough, independent and complete cost estimation for the tenders.
• Collect all relevant / needed information from the production engineer, designing engineer, Tender manager, and /or from site visits.
• Process all gathered data into clear optimal budgets and cost estimates including a planning and work sequencing.
• Regular consult with colleagues, from the commercial department and the project manager about cost.
• Come up with creative and innovative ideas / alternatives in order ensure a competitive cost estimation and efficient work plan.
• Assess proposal, prices of sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure gathered data and budget information is maintained and knowledge is transferred to project management and commercial department.
• Assist in preparing tender / quotation documents for tendering purposes.
• Ensure maintenance of database which contains prices / quotes from sub-contractors.
• Closely collaborate with production engineer, colleagues from the commercial department and tender manager.
• Study and analyse of Bids / Tenders technically and commercially, write scope clarification.
• Identify Risks, opportunities & assumptions made within the cost estimates.
• Technical skills with thorough knowledge of estimation principals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in a related discipline, or equivalent
• Minimum 08 years of related work experience in similar industries
• Preferably with dredging and marine industry background
