Role Overview: Kimit Academy is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Instructor for a contract position based on-site in Cairo, Egypt. The successful candidate will lead training sessions, develop training materials, and mentor students through practical, hands-on DevOps projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive on-site training in DevOps practices.
- Design, develop, and update training materials to reflect industry best practices.
- Lead students through real-world projects, ensuring hands-on experience in DevOps tools and techniques.
- Provide mentorship and ongoing support to students, fostering their growth and understanding of DevOps methodologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends to maintain the relevance of the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Information Technology and Software Development.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching or training, preferably in a technical environment.
- In-depth understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
- Strong experience of software development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide students effectively through practical, hands-on learning.
- Relevant certifications in DevOps or related fields.
Technical Expertise:
- Application Architecture Design: Experience with React.js (dashboard), Next.js (frontend), Node.js (chat services), Laravel (API), Redis (DB cache), and MySQL.
- DevOps Infrastructure & Tools: Experience with IAM, VPC, EKS, S3, Jenkins, SonarQube, Terraform.
- CI/CD Pipeline: Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Knowledge in establishing observability centers for system performance monitoring.
