The Senior Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for 7X Group is responsible for shaping, directing, and executing the Group's M&A strategy, with a focus on driving inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions, synergy creation, and value maximization. This role oversees the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and integration of acquisition targets to strengthen 7X Group's market position and financial performance. A deep understanding of M&A processes, risk management, and stakeholder alignment is essential for ensuring seamless integration and long-term success across the Group's diverse portfolio.
Strategic M&A Leadership:
- Develop and implement the M&A strategy to identify acquisition targets that align with corporate growth objectives.
- Establish M&A policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure consistent and effective M&A practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure strategic alignment of M&A initiatives with long-term business objectives.
Deal Origination and Pipeline Management:
- Source and maintain a strong pipeline of acquisition targets through industry relationships, market analysis, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive the origination process by identifying high-value M&A opportunities, including growth targets and innovative product integrations.
- Lead comprehensive due diligence, ensuring alignment with 7X Group's financial and operational goals.
Transaction Structuring and Execution:
- Lead transaction structuring, including valuation, negotiation strategies, and contract development to optimize shareholder value.
- Coordinate with finance, legal, and advisory teams to develop and execute deal structures.
- Oversee development of financial models and risk assessments for data-driven decision-making.
Integration Management:
- Lead post-merger integration to ensure a smooth transition and synergy realization, coordinating across HR, finance, IT, and operations.
- Implement integration plans aligned with strategic objectives and track performance against key integration milestones.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Implement risk management frameworks specific to M&A, addressing legal, financial, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, updating frameworks in response to regulatory changes.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Develop and maintain relationships with external advisors, investment partners, and industry leaders to support M&A activities.
- Provide regular updates on M&A activities, risks, and integration progress to executive leadership and Board committees.
Performance Reporting and Analysis:
- Track and report on M&A activities, financial returns, and integration progress, delivering actionable insights.
- Produce reports and strategic recommendations based on transaction performance and market intelligence.
Team Development and Talent Management:
- Develop a high-performance team culture, promoting learning, development, and collaboration.
- Implement succession planning for key roles within the M&A function.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics or Business Administration with CFA, CISI or equivalent certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in investment firms with expertise in interacting with investors and broad knowledge of global capital markets and macro-economic issues affecting investment, design and delivery of investment products.
