SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGNER

Airswift is seeking for Senior Electrical Designer - to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical engineering services, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Perform electrical design services such as: identify and report changes to project scope.
contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions. assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
- Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team, GID (Global Integrated Delivery) team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
- Ability to interpret client specifications.
- Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines.
- Familiarity of applicable codes to support engineering deliverables.
- Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system
Qualification
- Minimum 12+ years of experience. ETAP & 3D a must
- Experience with SPEL, AutoCAD and Microstation design software packages, AVEVA 2D/3D is a plus.
- Ability to develop detailed drawings for lighting; small power and earthing systems; HV/LV single line diagrams; wiring and control schematic diagram; AC/DC distribution panels, process area electrical equipment layouts, substation and switchyard layouts, cable tray, above grade and underground cable layouts, duct bank sizing and layouts, preparation of installation details, grounding plans, lightning layouts.
- Cable schedules, cable pulling calculations, cable tray sizing calculations, cable selection & sizing calculations.
