Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems and components for a range of projects, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and risk assessments to support project planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure integrated design and implementation of electrical systems.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize the performance and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering, and apply them to project design and development.
- Participate in field inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems, electronics, or control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software for schematic design and layout.
- Proficiency in engineering analysis tools and software for simulation and optimization.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Professional engineering (PE) license is a plus.
