Lead the laboratory based fertility investigation and treatment for the pateints and ensure the confedntiality of the patient information are protected and shared based on the approved protocolos.
Ensure and monitor all Health and Safety policies and IVF Lab Policies & Procedures are practiced in day to day operations and guide the junior members on the policeis.
Implement and monitor the Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) of Dubai Fertility Center based on its policies and procedures and UAE Fertilisation Law UAE [ Federal Law on the matter of ART 2019].
Preparing and presenting overall center statistics, audit and research process and scientific activities, risk management, KPIs as and when required by the Consultant.
Monitor lab procedures such as samples labelling, witnessing procedures and ensure liquid nitrogen levels are at adequate level for the safe storage of gametes/materials.
Perform appropriate mitigation procedures in the event of alarm on the continuous monitoring system as per the agreed standards and ensure quality and documentation control proeceudres of lab equipments are followed as per the time schedules.
Attend scientific workshop as to be familiar with the latest scientific updates and to be able to receive necessary CME for license renewal and participate in publication of scientific papers/abstracts
Clinical Embryology:
Perform and execute processes such as embryo transfers, egg fertilization, egg retrieval, sperm injection (ICSI), assisting hatching (AH), and sperm preparation using the respective specialized equipments under consultant supervision and ensure laboratory environment and procedures are in compliance with Local, Federal and Internanational standards and regulations in the field of Embryology.
Communicate the progress of the treatment to the patient and family, including oocyte fertilisation results and timing of embryo transfer; where necessary, following discussion with the Lab Director this may include discussing changes in treatment options (for example based on semen quality), imparting bad news and arranging follow-up appointments with medical staff.
Work along with Consultant Embryology in patient discussion by providing details such as treatment options, embryological results, interpretation of results or embryology data, and provide advice on further management whenever required.
Ensure all embryos and sperm for disposal are carried out in accordance to UAE Fertilisation Law UAE [ Federal Law on the matter of ART 2019] and documented accordingly.
Collect data and document for quality control (QC) activities and constantly perform quality assessments (QA) to make sure the specimens they handle maintain the highest quality and also participate in quality improvement (QI) programs.
Maintain records documents and samples to make sure their testing and laboratory work remains consistent and perform record keeping including IVF paper work, billing, entering data into salama systems, completing laboratory checks, and updating data on lab equipment use.
Carry out all the routine clinical embryological and andrological tasks identified and practiced by Dubai Fertility Centers which includes but not limied to;
Preparation of culture media, Routine seminal fluid analysis for the infertility clinic, Semen Cryopreservati, Sperm retrievals (MESA, PESA or TESE), Oocyte identification and culture, Insemination of sperm either for IVF or ICSI, Identification of normal and abnormal fertilization, Culture and assessment of preimplantation embryos, Preparation for embryo transfer, Culture and grading of blastocysts, Oocyte freezing and thawing and Embryo cryopreservation and thawing. Prepare sperm from either fresh ejaculate for insemination for either IUI, IVF, GIFT, ZIFT or ICSI procedures. Checking fertilization and record GV, 1PN, 2PN, 3PN, etc., including polar body check where appropriate. Dissect oocytes after retrieval and assess maturity of oocytes where ICSI is to be done. Cryopreserve surplus viable embryos where consent is given.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Medical laboratory science/ Applied Science/ Biology/ Medical science with emphasis in Human Embryology from a recognized university

Minimum of 7-8 year experience in the field of Embroyology
Have a valid License to practice as embryologist from DHA
