Contechs recruiting on behalf of their client who is automotive electric vehicle brand and OEM in Saudi Arabia seeking a Senior Engineer- AME to join their team on a Permanent basis.
Job Description
As Senior Engineer- AME your main responsibilities are:
- Provide Manufacturing feasibility from initial concept development throughout factory launch, in the area of Body Structure & Closures Joining & Assembly
- Support the BIW Assembly & feasibility team
- Define the structure for MBOM & Assign Parts / Joining from EBOM in Siemens Active workspace / Rich client
- Deliver feasibility support to ensure design meets manufacturing processes from a part to vehicle level through the various stages
- Support BIW family tree and assembly sequence including panel /assy load checks.
- Providing appropriate support and guidance to BIW and Closures teams
- Work with other departments and functions as required on BIW & Closures
Qualifications / Skills needed
- 7+ years of experience in the automotive AME ME or similar role
- Experiences in BIW assembly & feasibility process, Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Degree or relevant experience in Production or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in BIW and Closures through all stages from pre-concept, concept, design, manufacturing and launch
- Knowledge of Team Center/ PLM/ Catia V5 & NX
- Knowledge of mixed material structures Steel, Aluminium & Composite
- Knowledge of Body assembly method (RSW, SPRs, FDSs, CMT Welding, Mono-Bolts, Adhesives etc.)
- Knowledge of assembly processes applicable to low and to high volume manufacture
